My love of baking started at the age of 12 when, at a friend’s house, I baked my first batch of chocolate chip cookies from scratch. At that point I was hooked and read cookbooks like they were novels, poring over cake recipes and photos of decadent desserts. I’ve always loved art and to me, dessert is art you can eat.
I am originally from Orlando, Florida, but now live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I own a small home-based baking business, Star Confections, and my products are available to locals in the Winston-Salem area.
